Gelatin activates nearly all the metabolic processes occurring at the skin level. It improves blood circulation, softens the skin, brightens the complexion, smooths fine lines, and cleanses pores. Below are ten of the best gelatin-based face masks for various skin types and needs:

1. Classic Gelatin Mask
Pour 1 tablespoon of gelatin powder into 3 tablespoons of cold water. Wait about 30–40 minutes for the gelatin to swell. Then heat it over a water bath until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
- For oily skin: add 1 tablespoon of kefir and 1 tablespoon of wheat flour.
 - For dry skin: add 1 tablespoon of 20% sour cream and 1 tablespoon of oatmeal or oat flour.
Mix well until you achieve a paste-like consistency. Apply to cleansed skin and leave for 20 minutes. Remove with a cotton pad.
2. Milk and Gelatin Mask for Dry Skin
Prepare the gelatin as in the previous recipe, but replace the water with milk. No additional ingredients are needed. Apply to the face, leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse off.

3. Gelatin Mask for Removing Blackheads
Mix 1.5 tablespoons of gelatin powder with 4 tablespoons of cold water. Let it swell, then heat it over a water bath until dissolved. Cool slightly and apply to the face in 2–3 layers using a brush. Wait for each layer to dry before applying the next. Let it sit for 20–30 minutes until fully dry. Peel it off with a firm motion—blackheads and excess sebum will be pulled out with the mask.
4. Whitening Cucumber Mask
Wash, peel, and grate or blend one cucumber. Squeeze out the juice and use it to dissolve 1 tablespoon of gelatin. Prepare as usual. Apply 1–2 layers and leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing.

5. Gelatin and Glycerin Mask for Lifting Effect
Prepare the gelatin base (1 tbsp gelatin + 3 tbsp water), dissolve fully over a water bath. Add 1 tablespoon of glycerin. Apply to the skin and leave on for 20–30 minutes before rinsing.
6. Gelatin and Aloe Mask
Dissolve 1 tablespoon of gelatin in 3 tablespoons of water. Once ready, add 1 tablespoon of aloe vera juice. Mix thoroughly, let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 30 minutes. Apply to the skin for 20 minutes and rinse off.
7. Toning Coffee Mask
This mask is unique because the gelatin is not soaked in water. Brew strong coffee and mix 1 tablespoon of gelatin powder directly into the hot coffee. Let it dissolve. Apply to the face using a brush or sponge. It leaves a light bronze tint, giving the appearance of a mild tan. If you don’t want the coloring effect, clean your skin afterward with a mixture of water and lemon juice to restore brightness.

8. Whitening Lemon Mask
To enhance the whitening effect, add 0.5 teaspoons of lemon juice directly when dissolving the gelatin in water. Prepare and use it just like in previous recipes. Lemon juice provides a brightening effect and helps even out skin tone.
9. Anti-Wrinkle Gelatin Mask
Dissolve gelatin in 2 tablespoons of milk. While the mixture is still warm, beat one egg white until frothy and mix it in. The mask will be thick, so apply using a flat cosmetic spatula or stick. Leave it on for up to 30 minutes, peel it off gently, and rinse with warm water.

10. Fruit Gelatin Mask
Add 1 tablespoon of fruit puree to a prepared gelatin solution. Choose a fruit based on your skin type:
- For dry skin: avocado, apricot, melon, tangerine, or persimmon.
 - For oily skin: grapefruit, pear, strawberry, blueberry, currants, or raspberry.
 - For normal or combination skin: orange, grape, kiwi, or peach.
Banana is considered universal and works well for all skin types.
