If there is something that can be called the body’s burden, it is excess fat. Fat accumulates everywhere: around the waist, abdomen, hips, and even inside blood vessels. It is this misplaced fat residue that increases the risk of serious diseases such as diabetes, cancer, atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension, myocardial infarction, and stroke.

Studies have even shown that excess fat—especially that which accumulates in the abdominal area—can affect one’s mood. People with a larger belly tend to produce more stress hormones, while the hormone responsible for feelings of happiness seems to disappear.

The most familiar and effective way to get rid of fatty deposits is through healthy eating and moderate physical activity. So, what do we do? We have probably heard this a thousand times, but here’s a brief reminder:

  • Reduce fat consumption, especially fats rich in “bad” cholesterol. This harmful substance is found in fatty pork meat, butter, and chicken skin.
  • Eat as much fiber as possible, enriching your diet with bran, grains (particularly buckwheat and millet), fruits, vegetables, berries, and greens.

Now, let me offer you some recipes to help cleanse your body!

1. Apple and Cinnamon

Finely chop one apple and pour 500 ml of clean water over it. Add one teaspoon of ground cinnamon, let it cool, and drink throughout the day.

The combination of apple and cinnamon helps normalize metabolism and cleanse the digestive tract.

2. Lemon Juice and Honey

Mix two tablespoons of honey with one tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Dissolve both in 200 ml of warm water. Add a small amount of ground ginger. Consume this on an empty stomach, half an hour before breakfast.

3. Ginger Drink

Peel a fresh ginger root (3–4 cm), finely chop it, add one liter of hot water, bring it to a boil, and simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes. Strain the liquid. Once cooled, add a little ground cinnamon and a few tablespoons of rose syrup.

Drink 100–150 ml during the day, half an hour before meals. This drink aids digestion and metabolism normalization, and has a toning and restorative effect on the body.
